What you create
- Setup: Establishment of a new production line for viral vectors
- Production: Production of sterile, viral drugs for clinical trials using state-of-the-art process equipment
- GMP production: Independent planning, implementation and monitoring of production steps in a GMP environment, depending on specialisation this includes
- USP: cell cultivation, transfection, infection, bioreactor control/automation and harvest filtrations
- DSP: cell disruption, filtration and chromatography
- DP: aseptic filling processes in accordance with EU GMP Annex 1, vial testing (integrity and visual inspection)
- Documentation: creation and updating of GMP-compliant documents such as SOPs and batch records
- Process transfer: Planning, coordination and documentation of process transfers, as well as the implementation of process scale-ups
- Quality and process optimisation: Ongoing review and optimisation of processes to improve yield and efficiency
- Ensuring compliance: Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements in accordance with GMP standards as well as support with audits and inspections
What you bring along
- Educational qualification: Completed scientific studies in the field of biotechnology, bioprocess engineering, biochemistry or comparable
- Willingness: to work with organisms of genetic engineering safety level 2
- Knowledge: Experience in the GMP production environment, ideally in one of the areas of upstream processing, downstream processing or drug product production (sterile filling)
- Experience in working with viruses of viral vectors is desirable
- Practical knowledge in one or more of the following process steps is an advantage:
- Cell cultivation
- Transfection
- Infection
- Bioreactor control & automation
- Harvest filtration
- Cell disruption
- Filtration
- Aseptic filling processes according to EU GMP Annex 1
- Chromatography
- Visual inspection
- Previous work in class C and B cleanrooms is a plus
- Work attitude: very good communication skills, intercultural competence and willingness to cooperate internationally as well as ability to work in a team and solution-orientated, independent way of working
- Language skills: Business fluent in German and English
